Hey Chief Duncan- we know you are new to Salisbury and we know we've been hard on you lately because we are tired of SU kids being hauled off to jail every weekend when the crime rate is through the roof, but that doesn't mean we can't say "good job" when you deserve it. So on behalf of everybody here at The Other Salisbury News we would like to say congratulations on filing for the OJJDP grant last week.

For those of you who don't know, with the help of Chief Duncan, Salisbury has requested $750,000 in federal funding from the OJJDP (Office Of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention) to help implement the tools necessary to reduce juvenile gang activity and youth violence.

We are very happy to see the City finally making this proactive effort to curb adolescent crime and applaud Chief Duncan for helping to bring about this positive take-action approach. Great Job Chief! Keep up the good work!!
