One Of These Things Is Not Like The Other...

Delmarva- The Other Salisbury News is tired of the passive aggressive accusations of "fear mongering" that have been propagated just because we've called out Campbell, Cohen, and King James for having an agenda. We've provided numbers, we've quoted the package, we've even quoted the people who wrote it, in our effort to expose the outright abuse that renters are suffering at the hands of the current city administration. Well Salisburians, we can now add unbiased comparative visuals to our list of evidence. Below are the links to two powerpoint presentations analyzing what was done in Annapolis with Safe Streets, and what Salisbury would like to do with it. And no, we didn't make these. They were composed by whoever was supposed to synthesize the efforts of the Annapolis Safe Streets Coalition and certain members (cough cough Debbie and Terry) of the Salisbury Crime Task Force. See for yourselves.

Warning: You may want to keep a bucket handy- we got pretty nauseous when we looked at these. The difference is truly astounding.

Wow. I found the comparison rather fascinating. I noted that there really is no major housing component in Annapolis' Safe Streets Package except for addressing government funded housing complexes. I think after one year, the Annapolis Safe Streets initiative reduced crime by 40%. Based upon their partnerships and their focus, I can see why.
